PASTOR ALLEN S. MCLAUCHLIN

Pastor Allen S. McLauchlin was born June 21, 1948, to Cornie Lee and Ella Mae McLauchlin in Fayetteville, NC. He is the fourth child of seven. Pastor McLauchlin spent his formative years in Cumberland County in close proximity to the current structure of the Church he now pastors.
After completing High School (Anne Chesnutt), he enrolled in Fayetteville State University where he received a BA degree in Sociology in 1970. Upon graduation from college, Pastor Allen served two years in the military during the Viet Nam Era.
In 1976, Pastor Allen earned a Master of Education degree from East Carolina University and later earned his Certificate of Biblical Studies from Carolina Bible College. In 1993, he earned a Doctorate of Theology from International Bible College and Seminary. He has done additional studies at NC State University and Johns Hopkins University.
Pastor Allen was licensed to preach in 1978. He served as Senior Pastor at St. Paul AME Church in Winslow Arizona for little over two years, he also served as an Assistant Pastor of New Bethel AME Zion Church in Fayetteville, NC from 1980-1982.

In 1982, Pastor Allen began New Life Bible Church (“New Life”). In 1997, he founded New Life Christian Academy and in 1998 he founded New Life Bible Institute, a two year Biblical Certificate Program.

Pastor Allen, along with his wife Norma, have served as pastors of New Life for thirty-six years.
